Abstract The work aimed to evaluate the weight-length relationship and condition factor, characterizing biometry, anatomy, histology volumetric density of liver Brycon amazonicus, in different stages body growth. experiment used twenty specimens four growth (PI, PII, PIII PIV) harvested every 90 days, containing five specimens, each group. livers were dissected, weighed (g) processed routinely using hematoxylin eosin technique. data submitted analysis variance, Pearson’s correlation test linear regression. equation that represented relation was W = 0.05902 x L2.63, with negative allometric growth, but a relative factor equal 1.0. divided into three lobes gallbladder close right lobe its color varied from light red dark red, not varying other fish species. hepatosomatic followed until PII group stage then declined, demonstrating behavior development amazonicus. organ consists predominantly hepatocytes, by sinusoidal vessels capillaries, histological morphology similar many species fish. Melanomacrophage centers found only most developed animals, small quantities, prompting new research on this cell, In way, nature allows characterization species, helping improve breeding methods, understanding pathological processes caused diseases, obtaining better productive capacity, serving an increasingly demanding prosperous market.
